I love playing with words, and so the crafting of what I think is a good sentence/paragraph/chapter sometimes takes me a very long time.
-
I began writing For All We Know because:

I wanted to take a shot at writing a novel.

I wanted to write something that made people think.
I wanted to teach my kids to be slow-to-judge, compassionate, thinking beings, but I wanted to do it through storytelling because when I talk, they don't always listen for some reason. (ha!)
-
Embarrassingly, For All We Know took me over 20 years to write. It came in fits and starts and somehow became a story in which my own characters actually taught me what I was trying to teach my children. The story grew as I grew––as I watched my daughters become women, watched my hair turn gray, and saw my own self evolve in thought and perspective.
